Characteristics: The vase is covered in white . The figures have been drawn in (in dark ) against the white ( like ).

Durable colours (earthy s and s) have been added the vase is fired and thus adhere to the clay. Colours have been applied with little regard for shading and no regard for highlighting - the result is basically a coloured .

However the beneath appears more dimensional as the painter has varied the colours.

Later colours such as red, yellow, blue, purple, green, mauve and pink were after the firing - but these have away in the course of time.
